Mission, Vision, and Values
These are the essential and founding principles that guide the formation and continuance of the counselling and therapy practice at Noetica.
The mission of Noetica is to provide counselling services to adolescents, adults, couples, families and senior adults from diverse backgrounds in order to help clients bring about the healing and change they wish to see in themselves and their lives.
As a registered clinical counsellor, I am privileged to walk alongside clients as they navigate the uncertainties, transitions, crises, and challenges of life. In the midst of their present circumstances, the aim is to provide support to clients with care and compassion. It is through a strong, relational connection and a safe space that clients become empowered to move ahead in healthy and resilient ways.
Clients can expect to be seen and heard in a non-judgemental, confidential, and caring environment. This environment is the venue in which clients can experience a pathway to meaningful connection and a sense of wholeness as they seek out mental, emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual wellbeing.
The name Noetica is derived from the Greek word noētikos which means: inner wisdom, understanding, and personal. Viktor Frankl, a neuropsychiatrist, philosopher, survivor of the concentration camps, and a founding father of European psychotherapy described the noetic dimension of personhood as that part of a human being's nature that was untouchable by sickness. Aligned with this notion, a value held at Noetica is that no matter the life story, there is the possibility for redemption, restoration, and healing that always exists within a person.
